When did he get all grown up??!!! Anyone recognize this guy without the glasses and spikey hair?

This one isn't as shocking (I guess because he's been a little bit more visible as he's aged) but it's still cool to see these kids growing up.

Sista!!!

Today is my sister's birthday and I'm going crazy because I don't have her phone number to call her. She called last weekend and left it on my cell phone but my stupid plan deletes messages after four days and I didn't write the number down before it was deleted. Stupid Rogers!!!

The good news is she is arriving in Milton today from her cross Canada trek so hopefully she'll call me to say she's arrived and I can wish her a Happy Birthday when she calls!

I know they had a bit of a tough ride out with their truck/van breaking down but they seemed to only go over schedule by one day so I hope they still had fun. I remember my trip across when we went from Ontario to BC. I was five and have very clear memories of the trip. I slept in a little hammock my stepfather built for me that fit in over the two front seats of the van... so cool. We had our two dogs with us too which made for a furry ride as it was summer and I seem to remember them shedding incessantly.

So Happy Birthday Sis! Welcome to Ontario!!!

I want to start off today by saying how happy I am that Jason Mewes cut his hair:


If you don't recognize him it's because he primarily only stars in Kevin Smith movies as Jay. Not everyone likes these movies - I do. And I especially like Jay and even more so I like Jason in person. He was included in a couple of the "sets" that Kevin Smith did on his college tour movie (very funny with stories of ...stuff). He's so laid back it cracks me up.

Celeb Pics Friday

I've decided to try and start a weekly feature here at The Mad Life of Mz Maizun and I'm calling it Celeb Pics Friday. I may have a few pics to share and comment on, I may only have one. Who knows?!! I'm flying by the seat of my pants here kids!!!

To start off we've got a rather hansome, clean and somewhat sober looking pic of an old favourite, Robert Downey Jr. or "RDJ" as I like to call him:

Look how hansome our boy looks here. Hair, nicely trimmed. Smile, clean and white. Tie, classy / casual with the loosened knot. Shirt, clean and again, somewhat classy/casual in it's untucked manner.

I'm looking at this pic and thinking how nice it is to see RDJ with his apparent shit together.







Then I scroll through all the pics and come across this:

What I want to know is how long did it take for him to look like this? And who are those women holding him up? Not good for your I'm clean and sober and have got my shit in order tag line RDJ....not good at all!!!









And then we have this odd pic of Mr. Ex-Uma Thurman...or Cheating Bastard as I like to call him:

Daily Dose, Enroute, Fringe and Weekend Sun

You know, the day just hasn't officially started until I've had a chance to check Go Fug Yourself and The Superficial. I love the dish! And if it's a particularly slow morning, I'll check out Daily Dose of Imagery; always amazing pictures even if it's just a bike or a fence - gorgeous!

My sister is enroute to Ontario with her brood! I'm so excited. They left last weekend and are planning on taking a full two weeks to get here so I imagine by next weekend they'll be here. I haven't heard how they're making out....Mama Bear, if you're reading this, gimme a call!!

The Fringe Show I directed, written and performed by Lisa Olafson, called Josie with the Toes, is on it's way to the Winnipeg Fringe in a couple of weeks, then off to Calgary's. It's all very exciting to be associated with a National Tour production. The show has polished up really well, and has a new action packed fight scene to replace our lame attempt at physical conflict that we put together last summer. It's with great love that I get ready to put the final brush strokes on this puppy and send it out to "the people". A little scary (moreso for Lisa) but a lot exciting!!!

The G-man is jetting of to England tonight for his brother's wedding next Wednesday. I'll be hanging with the Port Hope Maizuns and finally getting some pool time this weekend. Very much looking forward to that. I feel like I haven't spent time with them for AGES!!! Dad will be moved home to Cobourg within the next month or so (fingers crosses, it depends on bed availability - more on that in another post later) so I'm hoping to see everyone more frequently. It's like going a long time without chocolate. I need my fix!!!
